I was invited to contribute this year to Crazy 4 Cult, Gallery1988LA's always-zany tribute to cult movies, and snatched up the chance to do a piece on Harold and Maude. It's one of my very favorite movies from my childhood (thanks, mom!), and I decided to cast it in the style of one of my favorite subjects from childhood, the memento mori. It was really strange watching this film with adult (ok, "adult") eyes, it broke my heart in a completely different way than it used to.
